Expands Popular Casual Games
Series PlayFirst,
a Games
publisher focused exclusively on casual games, have
announced the launch of Pet
Shop Hop,
its second title in the Hop series of
games. Developed by Mean
Hamster Software, Pet
Shop Hop
is available now for the Mac or PC. With the Hop
series, PlayFirst broadens the Diner Dash universe
as the heroine from the megahit game, Flo, serves
as a mentor to fledgling shops in her neighborhood.
Pet Shop Hop uses the series' winning combo of
economic simulation and assembly management game
mechanics in a new setting: the local pet
store. "The success of
Dress Shop Hop confirmed for us that players are
hungry for the Hop blend of gameplay integrated
with compelling storylines about Flo and her
friends," said Craig Bocks, director of publishing,
PlayFirst. "With Pet Shop Hop, Mean Hamster did a
wonderful job taking the pet shop theme a step
further by introducing a fresh new 3-D rendered
environment that fully immerses players in the
game." In Pet Shop Hop,
a new branch of Megapet Superstore is threatening
to put a family pet store out of business. It's up
to the players to help a cuddly cast of kittens,
puppies, fish and feathered friends reach loving
homes - and drive Megapet out of the neighborhood
