23 April
2008 Backing For
Boris In London Boris Johnson is
back in favour with the punters as the race to
become Mayor of London comes into its final
stages. Bookies
William
Hill have
shortened the odds of Boris Johnson winning the
contest from 4/6 to 4/7 favourite after a surge of
support. Ken Livingstone's
odds have lengthened from 11/10 to 5/4 and William
Hill offer 25/1 Brian Paddick and 100/1 Sian
Berry. "Boris is clearly
the political punters" favourite and looks like
going into the final stages of the race as the hot
favourite, providing he manages to avoid making any
late gaffes." said William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. |
