2008 Betting On
Liverpool Shareholding Bookmakers
William
Hill have
opened a book on who will be the majority
shareholder(s) of Liverpool FC on the first day of
the 2008/9 Premiership season. William Hill
offer Betting
odds of 4/7 that it will still be the Hicks-Gillett
combination with a 50-50 share, 15/8 that Hicks
alone will be majority shareholder, 6/1 that D.I.C.
will by then be the majority shareholder and 66/1
that Share Liverpool, the supporters' group, will
have the majority shareholding. "This is the
first time we have ever opened a book on the
majority shareholding in a club, but this story is
almost overshadowing Liverpool's Champions League
campaign, so we have decided to respond to the
interest in the situation by putting these odds
out" said William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. William Hill
offer 2/7 that Benitez will still be Liverpool
manager on the first day of next season and 5/2
that he will have departed by then. |
