Brown 6/1 Not To Lead Labour Into
Election Bookies
William
Hill
are offering odds of 6/1 that British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown will not lead
Labour into the next General
Election. "All of
a sudden, punters have been looking for
odds that Mr Brown will cease to be Labour
leader sooner rather than later" said
William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. "We also
have him at 1/12 to remain as leader until
the next Election, but punters only seem
to want to bet against him." Gordon
Brown is 20/1 to cease to be Prime
Minister this year, 2/1 in 2009 and 7/4 in
2010. The
Conservatives are priced as 4/7 favourites
to win the next General Election with
William Hill who make Labour 5/4 with the
Lib Dems not sitting very pretty at
66/1. UKIP
(UK
Independence
Party)
could gain a massive boost from smokers in
the next General Election as they are the
only main political party to have stated
in their manifesto that they intend to
repeal the smoking ban. William
