William Hill spokeman added: "Tony McCoy fans will back him to get his first Grand National win on Butlers Cabin while Chelsea fans won't be able to resist Chelsea Harbour and everyone named, or knowing someone named Simon will want to be on that horse." The world's oldest known active punter, Buster Martin, a 101 year-old Londoner, has staked a £101 bet on outsider Cornish Sett, at odds of 101/1 to win the Grand National, with William Hill. The bet will return over £10,300 if successful. Half of the UK's adult population will stake an average of £8 per bet on the Grand National with one in three bets will be placed by women. |
