pushed out the price of confirmation of the
existence of extra-terrestrial life from 80/1 to
100/1 following the publication of Britain's 'X
Files'. William Hill's
spokesman Rupert Adams said: "We have pushed the
price out, not because our customers do not think
that UFOs exist but because we feel that no
government agency will ever admit to the existence
either of UFOs or alien life, which would be needed
in order for us to pay out on this bet. However, it
is still a popular long shot bet for punters and at
any given time, confirmation that the 'truth is
indeed out there' is likely to cost us up to a
seven figure payout." 100/1: Within one
calendar year of the bet being placed, the then
serving US President or UK Prime Minister will
officially confirm the current existence of
intelligent extra terrestrial life. |
