2008 Boris
Favourite But Don't Write Off Ken Off Boris Johnson is
the 4/9 favourite to be declared the new Major of
London on Friday with William
Hill, who
offer Ken Livingstone at 13/8. Bookies are
predicting that for the first time one million
pounds will be gambled on the outcome of a Mayoral
contest. "All the big bets
have been for Boris but we are still seeing fivers
and tenners for Ken. This is going to the wire and
either could be favourite at the off!" said William
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. William Hill's
odds make a turnout of between 39-43% their
favourite and offer 33/1 that turnout will be under
31%. London Mayor
Winner: 4/9 Boris Johnson, 13/8 Ken Livingstone,
33/1 Brian Paddick, 100/1 Sian Berry. |
