Drogba And Grant Odds On To Be Out

The Champions League victory for Manchester United will cost bookies an eight figure payout after the match produced the biggest betting turnover ever on a single match, with up to £20million gambled on the outcome of the game.

"Manchester United were heavily backed all season, while a massive gamble developed on Chelsea during the last hours before the game." said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill offered betting odds of 10/1 that United would win in a penalty shoot out.

Drogba Out?

After Drogba's sending off, William Hill offer odds of 4/7 that he will have left Chelsea by the start of next season and 5/4 he is still there.

The bookies have immediately installed Manchester United as 5/1 favourites to win the Champions League again next season, and make Chelsea 11/2 second favourites.

William Hill are offering odds of 2/5 that the Champions League Final was Avram Grant's last as Chelsea boss - and 7/4 that he will still be Stamford Bridge supremo at the start of the next campaign.

The bookies offer 11/2 that Sir Alex Ferguson will stand down as Manchester United manager before the first day of next season, and 1/10 that he will still be there when the next campaign gets underway.
