Gamble As Temperatures Betting Hots Up Bookmakers
William
Hill have
slashed the odds of temperatures topping the golden
100f mark in 2008 from 8/1 to 5/1 as the nation
goes weather betting crazy. "As soon as the
first heatwave of the year occurs we always see a
plunge on our 100f betting and this year is no
exception. If the temperatures do reach 100F the
bookies will be paying out a seven figure sum."
said William Hill's spokesman Rupert
Adams. William Hill also
offer 8/1 that 2008 will see the highest ever
recorded temperature in the UK, which currently
stands at 101.3F and 12/1 that 2008 is the hottest
year on record. |
