During this stunt-filled competition, which will be held in the Motor City on May 31st and June 1st, spectators along the riverfront will have the opportunity to watch low-flying pilots race through inflatable 'air gate' obstacles at speeds reaching 250 mph. While this international event will touch down in 10 cities worldwide in 2008, this marks the first time that the Series will appear in Detroit, which will be one of only two North American cities to host the competition (San Diego is the other). This also marks the first time that the Series will be performed on an international border, making history for the Red Bull Air Race and both the cities of Detroit and Windsor. |
