The group of Slingo 5 Card players has such a strong bond from playing online that it's akin to a family relationship - so much in fact that when a member of the clan hasn't been spotted online for a while other members call Lenda, the group-appointed Queen of the room, to check up on everyone. The band of Slingo 5 Card players has connected so deeply that they all know each other's grandkids and dogs' names and have added each other to their Christmas card list. "We really want to thank Slingo for standing behind us on this party. Next year will be bigger and better for sure. All Slingo game rooms should try this," said Lenda, the organiser of the event. "We sat around our campfire laughing like a bunch of teenagers wondering who would show up and what they would look like. We really had a good time; I would like to say a heartfelt 'thank you' to Lenda, Vickie and Deb for all of your help. We couldn't have done it without all of you," said Jackie, known on the Slingo website as oilfieldmom, the treasurer of the event.
