Talent Winner - George Sampson Dancer George
Sampson has been announced the winner of the TV
talent show, Britain's Got Talent. 14-year-old
George, from Warrington, won £100,00 prize
money as well as a placement at this year's Royal
Variety Performance in December 2008. George Sampson
said he was "speechless" after hearing that he'd
won the competition. Simon Cowell
said: "You are the dancing version of Rocky. You
deserve everything as you battled your way to the
top." Singer Andrew
Johnston, 13, was visibly upset when he heard he
had only made the top three acts and left the stage
in tears. Signature were also voted in the top

after his performance, George said: "Whenever I
dance I try my best, but tonight was something
else. It was the greatest performance I've ever

that he deserved to win for "sheer
