Fight On After Jones? Joe Calzaghe is
1/3 favourite with William
Hill to
beat Roy Jones, offered at 9/4, with the draw at
20/1, after the pair's showdown was reportedly
confirmed. "A year or two
ago this would have looked like an easy night's
work for Joe, but Jones has regained some momentum
in recent fights and although he is obviously past
his prime he could give Joe a few problems if he
comes in properly prepared." said William Hill's
spokesman Graham Sharpe. The bookies offer
odds of 5/1 that Joe Calzaghe will fight again
before the end of 2009 after this fight, and 1/9
that he will not. "Joe says this
will be his last fight, and we tend to believe
him." said Sharpe. |
