2008 Punters
Transfer Thoughts To New Season With
Euro
2008
completed, William
Hill
report that punters have begun to turn their
betting attentions to the forthcoming domestic
season. The bookies
report renewed interest in potential high profile
transfer deals, with Frank Lampard being backed to
leave Chelsea for Inter and a reunion with Jose
Mourinho, Ronaldo backed to stay at Old Trafford,
Adebayor at the Emirates Stadium and Peter Crouch
to team up with Harry Redknapp. In the meantime,
Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill says Gareth
Barry can leave for Liverpool - if the Anfield club
meet their valuation of the England midfielder.
Liverpool had a
second bid of £13m turned down two weeks ago
and reports suggest Villa will only sell for
£18m. |
