predict that this week's good weather is the best
the UK will see all year, and forecast that Summer
is over for the British people already. The betting
giants give odds of even money that at the end of
the weekend, the UK will have already had the
hottest temperature for 2008, and July isn't even
over! The bookies also make it a 12-1 long-shot
that temperatures will reach 100 this
year. Kate Miller,
spokeswoman for William Hills, said: "As sad as it
is to say, it does appear that this is all we're
going to get in terms of good weather, and the
remainder of the Summer we'll see Brits with
brollies instead of sun-tans." As the good
weather coincided with the start of the school
Summer holidays, the great British public flocked
to escape the warmth, and glamour models and lad
mag lovelies Becky Rule and Amy-Lu Bennett stripped
down and frolicked in a sprinkler in Berkshire to
escape the heat. |
