2008 Gord Only
Knows If Brown Will Survive Gordon Brown is a
6/5 chance to be out of office by the end of the
year with William
Hill, who
make David Miliband 7/2 favourite to succeed him as
Labour leader, ahead of Alan Johnson and Jack
Straw, who are joint 4/1 second favourites, with
Jon Cruddas at 6/1 and Harriet Harman
7/1. Brown is also 5/4
to leave office in 2010 and 7/2 in 2009 with
William Hill, who make him 5/6 still to be Prime
Minister when the next General Election takes place
and 5/6 not to be. "Punters seem to
be undecided about whether Gordon Brown has a
long-term political future." said William Hill's
spokesman Graham Sharpe. The Conservatives
are priced at 2/9 favourites to win the next
General Election with William Hill who make Labour
3/1 with the Liberal Democrats 100/1. William Hill also
offer 5/2 about a Hung Parliament. |
