2008 Vaughan For
Brace Of Ducks? Bookmakers
William
Hill took
a hit this morning after offering 10/1 that England
Captain Michael Vaughan would be out for a duck and
they have shortened the price to 8/1 that he gets
another in the second innings. Vaughan is 11/4
to score a fifty and he is out to 7/1 for a
hundred. William Hill expect him to retain the
captaincy for the 4th Test, offering 1/12 that he
is, 6/1 that he is not but the Ashes look a long
way off and he is 8/11 to be captain and 1/1 that
he will not be. "Vaughan is
having a wretched time and it has got to the stage
where he would be struggling to retain his place if
he were not the captain." said William Hill's
spokesman Rupert Adams. |
