Favourite For Last Classic Of Year With Frozen
Fire's participation in next month's St Leger in
doubt, William
Hill have
amended their prices at the top of the betting but
still make Patkai their 5-2 favourite (from 11-4),
and have promoted Oaks winner Look Here to 11-2
second-favourite from 6-1. Sir Michael
Stoute's Gordon Stakes winner Conduit will bid to
give the Barbadian his first win in the one Classic
that has so far eluded him and is the only other
runner to be trimmed to 6-1 from 13-2. A mini-gamble has
emerged on Irish raider Unsung Heroine over recent
days. Tommy Stack's filly only made her racecourse
debut last month, and a step up in trip after her
maiden win saw her relish the additional distance
and throw in a strong performance against some
talented and seasoned competition. William Hill
initially quoted the daughter of High Chapparel at
100-1 but she is available at just a quarter of
that price now at 25-1. |
