Refunded As Boxer Gavin Pulls Out Of
Olympics People who have
already staked bets on Frankie Gavin, Great
Britain's big Gold Medal hope in the Olympic Boxing
tournament, will have their stakes refunded by
William
Hill,
after the 2/1 chance was a shock withdrawal from
the Games. "We had been
taking money for a Gavin gold since he won the
World Championships and he was regarded as one of
the entire team's best chances of success." said
William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. "But, given the
unexpected nature of his withdrawal we have decided
to refund all stakes on him." William Hill have
now shortened the odds for Team GB to end the Games
with 11 or fewer Golds, from 11/10 to 5/6, and
lengthened them from 4/6 to 5/6 them to gain 12 or
more. Team GB are 5/6
to end the Games with 33 or fewer medals and 5/6 to
get 34 or more. |
