On Mercury Prize Bookies
William
Hill have
been stunned by one of the biggest gambles in the
history of the Mercury Prize and following a flood
of wagers have slashed the price of Burial winning
from an original quote of 6/1 to 4/7. Should the
mysterious Burial win, it will cost the bookies a
significant five figure payout. "We would expect
a gamble such as this to be for a huge band like
the Artic Monkeys not Burial. There must be
something in the rumours and I would be very
surprised if we don't get stung on this one." said
William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. Nationwide
