Casino Beacon > Online Casinos > New Casino Bonuses > Bonus Archive 04 October 2008 Serious Classic Clues Uncovered After Newmarket Group Ones Vital clues for next year's Classics were obtained during this afternoon's racing at Newmarket, with the running of the Group One Middle Park and Cheveley Park stakes. Rae Guest's Serious Attitude followed up her impressive Salisbury win with a victory in the six-furlong contest, and has been cut by bookmakers William Hill to 16-1 from 20-1 for next year's 1000 Guineas. In the colts version Bushranger maintained his lofty reputation with a succinct victory from John Gosden's Huntdown. The son of Danetime has been left unchanged at 16-1 with Hills for the 2000 Guineas, with Huntdown eased to 40-1 from 25-1. Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, said: "Serious Attitude showed that she is a serious candidate for next year's Classics with her victory today. Her breeding suggests she should never have the speed to notch up a Group One win over six furlongs, and although the manner of her win was workmanlike, she clearly has enormous ability. Bushranger has now captured two Group Ones, but we suspect he may be a better candidate for a sprinting rather than mile races next year." |
