2008 Will Hopkins
Will Keep Calzaghe Going? After Bernard
Hopkins landed a surprise victory over Kelly Pavlik
at the weekend, bookmakers William
Hill
believe Joe Calzaghe could be tempted to turn his
back on his pledge that his forthcoming bout
against Roy Jones will be his last ever. "Calzaghe beat
Bernard last time out and should he see off Roy
Jones, he could well be tempted to take Bernard on
again in Cardiff to round off his career in fine
style." said William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. William Hill are
now offering odds of 11/4 that Calzaghe will not
fight again during 2009 and 1/4 that he will do so.
The bookies have already installed Joe as 4/11
favourite to beat Hopkins again if they meet, with
the American 2/1 to take his revenge. It is 25/1 for a
draw. William Hill make
Calzaghe 1/3 favourite to beat Jones, 9/4 with the
draw 16/1. Ricky Hatton is 2/5 favourite to beat
Pauli Malignaggi. You can place
