President - Betting Odds It was widely
acknowledged that Joe Biden won the
vice-presidential debate with Sarah Palin, but
Palin claimed the 'moral victory' - meaning she
managed to avoid saying something stupid for an
hour. One of her more
interesting statements was "It would be a travesty
if we were to quit now in Iraq" - something the
Iraqis may disagree with. Using her 'gift'
of being able to connect with the middle classes,
Palin called on "Joe six-packs and hockey moms
across the country" not to tolerate the behaviour
of Wall Street. "I don't know why
she singled me out, but I'll do what I can."
