Unimpressed With Darling Punters do not
believe that Alistair Darling's pre-Budget
announcements have improved Labour's chances of
winning the next General Election, say bookmakers
William
Hill. "We have not take
a single bet of over £10 for Labour to win the
next General Election since Alastair Darling's
revelations." said William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. The bookies still
make them 2/1 outsiders to be the largest single
Party after the next Election, with the
Conservatives hot favourites at 4/11 and the Lib
Dems written off at 100/1. William Hill
offer 4/6 that the next Election will not take
place until 201 and offer odds of 2/1 that it will
take place between January to June 09 and 9/2
between July to December 09. UKIP
(UK
Independence Party)
could gain a massive boost from smokers in the next
General Election as they are the only main
political party to have stated in their manifesto
that they intend to repeal the hugely unpopular
smoking ban, which has led to a massive number of
pubs, clubs and bingo halls closing their
doors. UKIP are
currently a 1000/1 outsider with William Hill to
win the next General Election but these odds could
tumble as more smokers and annoyed pub-regulars
learn of UKIP's manifesto pledge. Try your luck at
