Casino Beacon > Online Casinos > New Casino Bonuses > Bonus Archive 11 December 2008 Manchester To Vote No For Pay As You Go Congestion Charge Bookies William Hill have closed their betting on the referendum for the Manchester congestion charge pay-as-you-drive scheme, with the odds suggesting that there will be an overwhelming NO vote. The betting finished at 2/9 for 'No' vote and 3/1 a 'Yes' vote. The bookies are now odds-on at 1/5 that Leeds and Bristol will not pursue a similar scheme. "Any referendum on something that will cost the voters' money is always going to be up against it and it would be one of the great shocks in recent betting history if Manchester produced a yes vote." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. |
