On Record? White Valentine's Day? With another
extended cold snap forecast in the next few days,
bookies William
Hill have
slashed the price of 2009 being the coldest on
record in the UK from 12/1 to 8/1. A record cold
temperature in England, Scotland and Wales is a
20/1 shot and William Hill are offering odds of 5/1
that Febuary the 14th will see snowfall. For the more
optomistic punters, William Hill are 8/1 that
temperatures will top 100f in the summer
months. "The cold snap
has resulting in a record number of bets for 2009
being the coldest and we are looking forward to
some sun." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert
