The five year old has gone up 13lb since his Leoparstown triumph and will once again have the in-form Paul Townend on his back. Deutschland, Mullach Ni Si and Sesenta complete the Irish Champion trainer's quartet of runners. Other notable entries in the race include the Eddie O'Grady trained Fen Game, Jessica Harrington's Alpine Eagle and the recent Leopardstown scorer Dancing Tornado from the Michael Hourigan yard. Tony Kenny from William Hill commented: "The Pierse is always one of the biggest betting races on the Irish racing calendar and this year's race looks like being another huge race of the bookies. Every horse in the race has been backed, but Fen Game, Psycho and Silver Jaro are currently the biggest losers in our book." |
