Nadal v Federer Betting Odds - Mens Australian Open Final

Roger Federer is just one Grand Slam away from equalling Pete Sampras' record of 14 tennis slams and he'll be hoping to hit that mark against the man who's been ruining everything for him over the last few years.

Without Rafael Nadal, Federer would have easily caught up to and passed Sampras long ago and he'd definitely still be the world number one. The Swiss star dispatched Roddick with clinical ease in his semi-final while the Spaniard had to battle through five sets against Verdasco a day later.

Roger refused to admit the advantage of the extra day's rest and instead forgot that he no longer dominates men's tennis.

"To dominate tennis and play at this level for so long, it's something I never thought of. I'm living the dream."

Can Federer realise his title dream or will a refreshed Nadal turn it in to a nightmare? Federer is a three-time champion at the Australian Open, whereas Nadal's previous best was a semi-final appearance last year.

Bookies Paddy Power have Roger Federer as clear favourite to win this final at odds of 8/13 (1.61). If you think Rafael Nadal will upset Federer's hopes then you should take the 5/4 (2.25) on offer.

Betting Odds (Paddy Power)

  • Roger Federer - 8/13 (1.61)
  • Rafael Nadal - 5/4 (2.25)
