Leeds Rhinos For Super League Slam?

Defending champions Leeds Rhinos kick off Super League XIV at Headingley on Friday, night with official bookmakers William Hill making them favourites for every competition they're set to contest – and just 16/1 to complete an unprecedented 'grand slam' of four major trophies.

Hills make Leeds and England captain Jamie Peacock 12/1 joint favourite (alongside last year's winner James Graham) to regain the Man of Steel Award, an accolade he last won in 2003 as a Bradford Bull. And Rhinos' winger Scott Donald is 10/1 joint favourite to score most tries in the regular season. Leeds are 50/1 to win all 27 regular season matches.

"16/1 is the shortest price we've ever quoted pre-season about a side winning all four trophies but it's nothing to do with the fact we're based in the city of Leeds." said William Hill's spokesman Tim Pakyurek.

"The Rhinos are already the best backed side and the squad looks to have both quality and depth."

In the opening match of the Super League season Leeds are 1/20 to beat the Celtic Crusaders, who are 8/1, with the draw at 33/1.

On handicap, William Hill ask Leeds to concede 22 points to the Crusaders with both teams priced at 10/11 and the tie 16/1. It's 20/1 that the winning margin on Friday night proves to be the widest of any match in the regular season.
