Tiger Woods Masters Odds Slashed

After landing his first victory since coming back from his knee operation, Tiger Woods has been cut from 9/4 (3.25) to 7/4 (2.75) by William Hill to win the US Masters and from 33/1 to 20/1 to win the elusive Grand Slam.

However, thousands of William Hill punters have already collected their winnings on Tiger Woods to win the Masters as the company decided to pay out to those who had stayed loyal to the world number one and backed him when he returned from injury in February.

"That cost us a substantial five figure payout but we have already acquired another major potential payout since then and we certainly won't be paying out prematurely again." said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

The bookies offer odds of 13/8 (2.62) that Tiger wins no majors this season, 6/4 (2/5) that he wins just one, 11/4 (3.75) that he picks up any two, 11/1 any three and 20/1 for all four.

Padraig Harrington is priced at 150/1 with William Hill to complete version his own 'Tiger-Slam' by adding the US Masters and US Open to the Open and US PGA titles he already holds.

"In all the hype over Tiger's return, people have forgotten that Padraig Harrington has won the last two and could have his own 'Padraig'-Slam to boast about if he collects the next two." added William Hill's spokeman.
