hefty ante-post liabilities on England winning the
World Cup. At the moment our book is enormously
lop-sided, with a potential major six figure pay
out already if England do go all the way - and it
isn't just one or two large bets but a wholescale
popular gamble. The biggest single bet is only
£500, but we have taken thousands of smaller
bets, yet seen no significant money for any of the
other leading contenders. We have never acquired
such a large liability for England even before they
