2009 Punters Act On
'Brown Out' E-Mail Punters are
rushing to bet that Gordon Brown will be out of
office before midnight on Saturday, 13th June as
rumours about the 'Brown Must Go' e-mail spread and
William
Hill have
cut the odds about that happening from 4/1 to 11/4
(3.5). William Hill also
reported heavy backing for Alan Johnson to be the
next Leader and have cut his odds from 6/4 (2.5) to
even money. The bookies have
also cut the odds that Gordon Brown will be out of
office before the next General Election from 6/5
(2.2) to 5/6 (1.83). "This is rapidly
turning into a one horse race with punters only
wanting to back Brown to go and Johnson to succeeed
him." said William Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe. UKIP could gain a
massive boost from smokers in the next General
Election as they are the only main political party
to have stated in their manifesto that they intend
to repeal the highly Unpopular
Smoking Ban
which has closed thousands of pubs, clubs and bingo
halls throughout the UK. Select from the
