Casino Beacon > Online Casinos > New Casino Bonuses > Bonus Archive 25 January 2010 Are Ladbrokes In The Brown Stuff? Internal candidate and head of online gaming, John O'Reilly, is 5/4 (2.25) favourite with Paddy Power to replace Chris Bell as Ladbrokes CEO. Paddy Power have revised their odds following news that a headhunter's shortlist of candidates has been drawn up.s The early mover in the market has been for an unlikely candidate, Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who's odds have been slashed from 1,000/1 to 500/1 following a bet of £50 from one very optimistic punter who stands to win £50,000 should Brown take the helm. Carl Leaver, formerly of Marks and Spencer, has rocketed into contention as the 3/1 second favourite with fellow industry outsider Andy Harrison from Easyjet available at 5/1. Nick Rust of Coral is most likely of the industry candidates at 4/1 with Sportingbet's Andy McIver 6/1. Ladbrokes current Finance Director, Brian Wallace, is rated an unlikely 33/1 shot. Paddy Power said: "Some would argue that Gordon Brown might have plenty of time on his hands in a few months time but we still think it's more likely that Ladbrokes will appoint Mickey Mouse than Gordon Brown." |
