2010 Bookies Think
Gordon Brown May Opt For Early
Election Bookies
William
Hill have
cut the odds about the General Election taking
place on any date other than May 6, 2010, from 4/1
to 7/2 (4.5) after rumours suggesting that
Gordon Brown is considering an April Election
resulted in punters betting on that
option. "Most political
observers are convinced that the General Election
will take place on May 6 and that has been an
almost unbackable option at odds of 1/7 (1.14) but
we have begun to see some money on the election
being called earlier than that and have cut our
odds for any date other than May 6." said William
Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. UKIP
(UK
Independence Party)
could gain a massive boost from smokers in the next
General Election as they are the only main
political party to have stated in their manifesto
that they intend to repeal the highly unpopular
smoking
ban. Place Your Bets -
