Night The betting odds
from bookies William

suggests that Avatar
and The
Hurt Locker
are the main contenders for the Best Film and Best
Director Oscars on Sunday but in the last twenty
four hours the bookies have started to see money
for Inglourious
Basterds
and early backers could take a
hammering. "We looked at the
Best Film betting on Wednesday and 98% of bets were
either for Avatar or the Hurt Locker. That is
starting to change since the dirty trick campaigns
have been uncovered and the late money suggests
that we could be in for a real shock." said William
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. Sandra Bullock
has been shortened to 1/2 (1.5) to win the
Best Actress and Jeff Bridges looks all but certain
to walk away with the Best Actor at 1/7
