2010 Anyone But
Tories, Say Political Punters The Conservatives
are now the longest odds to win an overall majority
at the General Election that they have been since
2008, say bookmakers William
Hill who
have lengthened them from 4/7 (1.57) with Labour
down to 9/1. The chances of a
Hung Parliament now quoted at 5/4
(2.25). "Punters are
backing Labour and a Hung Parliament but won't
touch the Tories at the moment with the result that
their odds are out to levels they last touched
almost two years ago." said William Hill's
spokesman Graham Sharpe. UKIP
(UK
Independence Party)
could gain a massive boost from smokers in the next
General Election as they are the only main
political party to have stated in their manifesto
that they intend to repeal the highly unpopular
smoking
ban. Place Your Bets -
