Oosthuizen Now Favourite For Open
Glory Bookies
William
Hill make
Louis Oosthuizen (a 250/1 outsider before the start
of the tournament) their 9/10 (1.9) favourite to
win the 139th Open Championship after he carded a
third round 69 at St Andrews. The South
African, who leads the Open on fifteen under par,
is four shots clear of his nearest challenger and
5/2 (3.5) second favourite Paul
Casey. "It looks like a
two horse race between Oosthuizen and Casey." said
William Hills spokesman Rupert Adams. "The four
shot cushion makes the South African a very strong
favourite going into the final round but the nature
of course means he is not a certainty to lift the
claret jug. The biggest bet we took on Louis before
the competition was a £5 bet at 250/1 so we'll
be celebrating with him if he wins the Open on
Sunday." Other players
still in contention include Martin Kaymer (-8) and
Lee Westwood (-7) who are both available at
12/1. If you are going
to get involved then ToteSport are worth a look -
they're giving new customers twenty-five quid free
