Update
and Blog - Tuesday, 03 June 2008 We're not in a
very good mood here today. What's giving us
problems? Spam, my friend. Spam. The
Online
Casino
industry gets a pretty bad name sometimes for
unethical marketing tactics. The likes of Golden
Palace paying streakers to ruin sporting events may
look funny but it's cheap, tacky and gives our
industry a bad name. Heck, we've got
enough problems with our idiotic Government doing
its level-best to screw up the gambling industry,
without members of our own community doing the work
for them. Tacky stunts and
UK/US Government idiots aside, e-mail spam is
probably the most serious fight we have on our
hands at the moment. No doubt you receive loads of
spam and we'd like to guess that at least a small
amount of it is for online casinos. We know this
because we receive it too - and it pisses us off no
end. Check out our Privacy
Policy
and you'll see our position on spam. We hate
it. For the record:
we never have spammed. Never will. It's
counter-productive and makes the online casino
scene look dodgy as hell. We've got enough problems
trying to get law-makers to realise that online
gambling is legitimate, operated on the whole by
reputable companies, without stupid affiliates
spamming and even more stupid online casinos
allowing them to do so. We've spent
countless hours over the last week or two fighting
spam from unethical online casinos and their crappy
affiliates. We've even helped to get some sites
taken down. So this is the
final warning. We're going to start naming and
shaming those online casinos who think it's fair
game to spam the hell out of people sitting at home
at their PC, who didn't subscribe to your lousy
spam-list. We'll also continuously report the spam
to your website hosts and domain registrars and
have your sites taken down too. It isn't worth
allowing spam for a quick buck if your website is
gone next week, is it? There's no 'fortune' to be
made in that. No more warnings.
You know who you are. New
Stuff On a more
pleasant note, we've been adding some new online
casino stuff to Casino Beacon over the last 24
hours. There's been plenty of News
going up, including some Euro
2008 Betting
information. Take a look at
the index page of Casino Beacon and you'll see a
nice offer from All
Jackpots Casino
(100% deposit-match bonus on your first deposit, up
to £200 free). One particularly
nice story is that of Mummys
Gold Casino
who have released their latest Games
Payout Report
which shows a staggering 99.04% for table games,
such as blackjack, roulette, etc. Those are some
pretty lovely odds and it's worth having a crack at
the games yourself while they're being so
loose. We'll be adding
more Online
Casino Reviews
very shortly. We're hoping to have a closer look at
a newly released Microgaming casino shortly -
Red
Flush Casino.
Their website only shows US$ at the moment but we
know they're UK-friendly and so we'll be giving
them a very in-depth look very soon. Keep on betting,
boys and girls - and make sure you walk away with a
profit. Remember that
Casino Beacon is continuously updated throughout
the day so do pop back to the site throughout the
day. It's probably worth Bookmarking
Us for an
easy return. |
