Update
and Blog - Tuesday, 04 November 2008 Elvis Is In
The Building Gambling ain't
always about the money. Well, okay - it
IS always about the money, but it's nice to
have a bit of fun at the same time. There's plenty of
fun and plenty of profit to be had with
Rock
The Boat
which is an Elvis-themed three reel, one payline
and two coin Online
Slot Game.
This is an entertaining Casino
Game with
decent payouts and is great fun to play. Away from the
casinos, there are plenty of sport betting
opportunities this week. It's worth taking a look
at one of the best online bookies -
SkyBet
comes from the world-famous Sky TV - so you know
you're dealing with a trustworthy name here. As
SkyBet say so often, "It matters more when there's
money on it." SkyBet offer a
superb range of betting opportunites, including
just about every sport you can think of and loads
of TV shows, political events, overseas sports,
live 'in-running' betting and plenty more to get
your gambling teeth into. If you're looking
for some sport betting tips then we suggest you ask
someone else - we're still smarting about Villa
getting done over 2-0 by Newcastle last night. Our
tipping integrity lies in tatters. Naked Chicks!
Almost. We've reviewed
Playboy
Casino
and we're very pleased to report that it has been
given the maximum 5-star rating, making this only
the fifth casino to score to top marks. We're
notoriously fussy and a casino has to do bloody
well to get 5 stars out of us. Congratulations go
to Playboy Casino. Play

Casino Review The Fame
Factor Yesterday, we
briefly touched on the latest X
Factor Betting
and it got us thinking about Fame
Academy
which, as you may or may not remember, was also a
TV talent/singing show. Fame Academy only
ran for two series on the BBC and was seen by some
at the time as a poor effort by the Beeb. They were
accused of copying ITV's Pop Idol and Popstars
formats. The accusation was probably a fair one to
some extent, After all, the BBC had seen the format
work well on other channels and so knocked out
their own version. However, what's apparent now,
looking back, is that Fame Academy was actually
bloody good and a far better test of actual talent
than X Factor has achieved so far. Given that Fame
Academy was co-produced by an Endemol company, it
perhaps wasn't surprising that the Fame Academy
'housemates' all lived in the same house and
coverage of them was broadcast around-the-clock,
Big
Brother
style. This was great and gave viewers a real
insight into the real level of 'talent' being
developed. Fame Academy was
much more than just a singing competition which is
pretty much all X Factor adds up to. To be fair to
X Factor, it doesn't really pretend to be anything
more than a glitzed-up karaoke competition. Fame
Academy did so much more. It was a song-writing,
singing and performing competition and some of the
talent seen on the show was seriously impressive.
Sinead
Quinn
immediately springs to mind. So bring back
Fame Academy, BBC! Remember that
Casino Beacon is continuously updated throughout
the day so do pop back to the site throughout the

easy return. |
