Monday,
26 May 2008 There's an
absolute mountain of new stuff being added to
Casino Beacon today. Yeah, I know... it's Bank
Holiday (so we're told) and so everyone is off work
and chilling out (so we're told). Just consider
yourself lucky - you could work for Casino Beacon
and get 2 days off a year. With no pay. We've been busy
adding more news, reviews and stuff while you've
been lazing away. We've reviewed 32
Red Casino
who sponsor the wonderful and amazing Aston Villa
(yeah, they're our team). We've also
started to add a No
Credit Card
Casinos
section for those of you who don't have a
credit/debit card but still want to play at
Online
Casinos.
Or maybe you have a card but don't want to use it.
More likely, you DO have one, DO want to use it,
but you've blown your credit limit on lap dancers
and beer. Or perhaps that's just us. Whatever your
reasons for doing so, there are loads of
alternative ways of depositing at online casinos
and the first method we've covered is one you may
not have heard of - e-gold. Take a look at the new
e-gold
casinos
page and you'll get a rough idea of what we're
banging on about. It's a small section at the
moment but it'll grow. We'll be covering the more
popular PayPal soon. Most online casinos can't
accept PayPal because eBay took over PayPal and
fecked things up for most online casinos (thanks,
eBay - you cocks) but there are a few casinos out
there who can accept PayPal and we're hoping that
number will grow. Watch this
space. Sod The Sports
News - We've Had Politics And
Eurovision The last few days
have seen loads of betting on Eurovision (which
Russia predictably won) and the Crewe &
Nantwich by-election (which the Conservatives
predictably won). Eurovision always
looked to be going Russia's way. Both
William
Hill
and Terry Wogan correctly predicted the winner
and you can't get better punters than them, I
guess. On the downside, it looks like Terry might
be a tad too pissed off with Eurovision to present
the show again - he
might be quitting for
good. To
be fair to the Eurovision bosses, it's going to be
a tough job finding a way around the block voting
without completely overhauling the voting process.
Thing is, the UK pumps shedloads of money into
Eurovision each year and we're not getting anything
out of it in return. We can't always
moan about the voting results, however. This year's
entry was okay-ish but we've entered some real
dross over recent years. We can't complain that our
entries have done badly when we enter crappy songs
- no matter how much we've paid to enter the damn
thing. Talking of crappy
things, it looks like Gordon Brown's time might be
up soon. Labour got thoroughly beaten up and left
for dead in the Crewe
& Nantwich
by-election.
This wasn't a surprise to anyone, I don't think -
Labour are dying on their arse at the moment and
it's going to take something pretty amazing to get
them back into the general public's good books.
Outlawing Russell Brand on TV might be a vote
winner. What surprises
us, however, about the media coverage of the
by-election results is that if you listen to the
Beeb, Sky News or any other mainstream channel,
you'd be forgiven for thinking that the recent 10p
tax thingy was the reason everyone deserted Labour
- which simply ain't the case. We've yet to meet a
single person who cited that as the reason for
voting against Labour. Not a single, solitary
person. Everyone we know - without exception - who
has turned their back on Labour have cited at least
one of three reasons for doing so: immigration,
crime and the smoking
ban. Yet
the media don't mention any of these reasons.
Answers on a postcard for that one. |
