Update
and Blog - Thursday, 17 December 2009 The betting for
this year's Christmas
Number One
is hotting up and we're hoping that the lousy X
Factor crap is kept from the top spot. You may already
have heard in the news or read in the press about
this year's race for the Christmas top-spot.
Thousands of pissed off music lovers are buying
copies of Race Against The Machine's single
Killing
In The Name
in an effort to stop X Factor manufactured rubbish
dominating the festive music chart. We applaud
them. This all started
when a Facebook group was created to get the band's
1992 hit to the top of the festive chart. At the
time of writing, the group has attracted more than
820,000 members. Rage Against The
Machine's Tom Morello has said that beating the X
Factor single to Christmas number one will be a
"wonderful dose of anarchy." Here at Casino
Beacon, we cover X Factor betting news because it's
our job to report on betting markets. However,
never EVER take this as an assumption that we
approve of X Factor. It is crap. It is horrible. It
is damaging the UK music scene and we want it
gone. We urge you to
support the campaign to get Killing In The Name by
Rage Against The Machine to the top of the charts
for Christmas. You can help by purchasing
the song via download from
Amazon -
it's costs just £0.29 to buy the
track. Hilariously, the
BBC has been forced to apologise after Radio 5 live
listeners heard Rage Against the Machine swearing
in a live performance of the song. Zack de la Rocha,
the US band's singer, was heard swearing four times
on the station's breakfast show. Ha! Remember that
Casino Beacon is continuously updated throughout
the day so do pop back to the site throughout the
day. It's probably worth Bookmarking
Us for an
easy return. |
