Red Casino Review 32
Red Casino
Review Welcome
Bonus: Our
Rating: Introduction 32
Red Casino is a well-known
UK
Online
Casino
who are listed on The London
Stock Exchange and have a good
reputation within the industry
and with their players. The
casino is fully licensed by the
Government of
Gibraltar. The
32 Red Casino brand is widely
advertised on TV and through
various sports sponsorships,
having sponsored Aston Villa
between 2006 to 2008. 32 Red are
now the main shirt sponsors of
Premier League team Swansea City
FC. They also have prominent
advertising at many other
sporting events. Casino
Games We
were unable to find an exact
number of the Casino
Games
available for play at 32 Red
Casino but their website states
that there are more than 450 to
choose from, so you're unlikely
to be disappointed with the
selection of games on offer. More
than 250 of the games at 32 Red
are slot games. New
games are added to the casino
every month so there's always
something new to try out.
Sometimes these are variations on
an existing game such as a new
type of blackjack or video poker.
On other occasions, the new games
will be completely new releases.
The new games will automatically
be available for download from
the casino lobby when you login
to the casino. The downloads take
only a couple of minutes if
you're on a reasonable connection
and you can play other games
while the new games download in
the background. The
games at 32 Red are powered by
Microgaming software which is the
market-leader in providing online
casino games. The graphics and
sound effects are impressive and
everything you see is clear,
bright, colourful but still very
easy-on-the eye. The sound is
crisp and
professional. You
can play 32 Red's casino games
for free or for real money. If
you're new to online casino games
then we recommend you initially
open a 'play money' account when
you sign-up. This will allow you
to try out the games for as long
as you need until you feel
comfortable enough to risk your
own money. You can switch over to
'real money' play at any time
when you feel ready to try the
real thing. One
non-standard game we tried out
and really enjoyed is Wheel of
Riches (see screenshot on right
of page). Wheel of Riches is
quite similar to roulette but
with some additional betting
options and some nice bonus
features. You can place bets from
as little as 10p and it's loads
of fun. We ended up playing the
game for more than an
hour! The
name '32 Red' is obviously known
as the number next to '0' (zero)
on most European roulette wheels
and Wheel of Riches (above) isn't
the only roulette variant you can
play here. Roulette fans will
enjoy many different types of
this game here, including a
multi-wheel version with eight
wheels and one betting table.
Simply place your bets on the
table as normal and eight
different tables will play out
separately. Of course, it also
means eight times your normal
stake so wins and losses playing
this game could be
huge! There
also are some newer games at 32
Red that have made the entire
package more enjoyable and varied
than many other online casinos.
These include JPM 'pub quiz
machine' games that you've
probably seen in your local
boozer, including Hangman,
Catchphrase, Battleships and
Millionaire. These
quiz-games are very much skill
based and success will depend on
your knowledge, making a nice
change from the lottery of
luck-based traditional casino
games. From what we could see,
these quiz machine games are
pretty much identical to those in
real pub quiz machines (even down
to the sound effects) so if
you've put a few quid in the quiz
machine at your local pub then
you'll know exactly what to do.
Even better, the payouts and
winnings with these online
versions seem to be far fairer
and more attractive than the
shoddy odds we get from the pub
machines. And you can play these
games with a cigarette in your
mouth without being chucked out
by the landlord. You
can find these quiz games in the
'games arcade' section of 32
Red's website. You can use your
main 32 Red Casino account to
play in the games arcade and
transfer your balance between the
gaming areas. Unfortunately, it
is not possible to use the
£32 no deposit bonus to play
these quiz games but you can try
them out for free at 32 Red's
website. However, 32 Red tell us
that "Once you complete the
wagering requirements from a
bonus, you can then of course
withdraw or transfer the funds at
your leisure." Sounds fair to
us. We
do have a couple of small but
fair complaints - navigation
around 32 Red Casino isn't always
as easy as it could be. With
several of the games, we had to
really look around to find where
to click to return to the games
lobby. This should be easily
accessible. Another
small navigation complaint came
when we tried to switch between
'real money' play and 'practice
play'. We mentioned earlier in
this review that you can select
'real' or 'practice' play when
you first create your new player
account. Whilst it's very easy to
switch at any time from practice
to real play, we could find no
way of switching back to practice
mode - and we really looked hard
to find a way of doing this. It
would appear that once 32 Red
Casino have you a real money
player, that's how they'd like
things to stay. It's
worth mentioning that you can
still play many of 32 Red's
casino games for 'practice', if
you know where to look. It wasn't
immediately clear how to do this
but it's simple once you know how
- simply visit the 'Games Arcade'
in the main navigation at 32
Red's website and you'll be
presented with loads of games,
split up into categories. These
games have a clear 'free play'
button which you can play at any
time with no registration or
login required. Deposit
Match Bonus Your
first deposit at 32 Red will earn
you a free money welcome bonus.
For every £20 you deposit,
you'll get another £32 free.
You can get up to a maximum
welcome bonus of £160 free.
For example: This
bonus isn't too bad but isn't
exactly exciting. On one hand,
it's great that you're getting a
generous 160% deposit bonus but
it'd be nice to have a higher
limit than £160 free up for
grabs. When you consider that
casinos such as Go
Wild
Casino
offer deposit bonuses of up to
£1000 free, you begin to see
that 32 Red's offer isn't exactly
groundbreaking. Perhaps we're
being harsh because the
percentage IS generous but we
can't help but feel that they're
missing a trick here, especially
for the high-rollers out
there. The
welcome bonus at 32 Red Casino
has a 32x playthrough
requirement. This means that
before you can make a withdrawal,
your bonus must be played through
32 times. For example, if you
deposit £100 to get the
maximum £160 free money
welcome bonus then you will need
to make wagers totaling
£5120 (32 x
£160). You
can play most of 32 Red's casino
games with the bonus money but
not all count 100% toward the
wagering requirement. Only
Slot
Games,
keno and Scratch
Card
Games
count 100%. Roulette, Poker
Games, Casino War and Sic Bo
count 50%. Video poker, standard
blackjack and baccarat only count
10%. Some games count just 2% and
some don't even count at all
towards the playthrough
requirements. We
also found this interesting note
in the bonus terms and
conditions: "In the interests
of fair gaming, there are limits
on the maximum bet sizes you can
place during the playthrough of
the welcome bonus. Any winnings
derived from bets larger than
these limits before playthrough
requirements for that bonus have
been met will initiate a further
playthrough requirement of 100
times the amount
won." We're
not sure at all why large bets
with your bonus money could be
considering unfair gaming -
surely the house is going to have
the edge regardless of the bet
size. Anyway, the 'maximum bet
size' is described as "maximum
stake of 6.25 Chips (or coin
equivalent) per bet until the
playthrough requirement has been
met. A bet is defined as one
roulette spin or one dealer's
dealt hand in any table game or
one deal in any Video or Power
Poker game." So
you can bet a maximum of a
whopping (ahem) £6.25 per
bet until you've reached the
playthrough requirements. Hardly
impressive. You
should also be aware that if
you've played at any of the other
online casinos owned by 32 Red
(Dash Casino, Nedplay Casino or
Golden Lounge Casino) then you
are prohibited from claiming a
welcome bonus at any other 32 Red
Plc-operated casino. All
of the playthrough details and
allowed games are laid out
clearly in the casino's terms and
conditions so it's definitely a
good idea to read them before you
play unless you decide NOT to
take a welcome bonus. That's
definitely something to consider
if you want to just play with
your own money,bet whatever
amount you fancy and withdraw
your winnings when you feel like
it. It's something we tend to do
often. Free money welcome bonuses
are nice if you want to extend
your first game session or if
you're happy to concentrate on
slot games initially but we also
like the freedom of playing any
game we want and withdrawing our
winnings at any time. Given
the extremely restrictive nature
of 32 Red's bonus terms and
conditions, we really can't
recommend you taking this welcome
bonus unless you want to play low
value slots only. Download
Or No Download? Most
players will download
the casino
software
when they sign up as a new player
and we've rather assumed that
you'll be doing the same to
access the entire suite of games
but it's by no means a
requirement to do so. If you'd
rather not download the software
then you can instead play their
'Instant Casino' which requires
no download and simply opens up
in your browser. These
two versions of the casino
(download and instant play) are
as near to identical as to make
the differences unimportant. Most
games are available in both
versions and you can play both
versions with the same player
account so it really comes down
to your own personal preference.
Try both and see which feels
better. Banking
Options and
Information Most
UK players tend to use a credit
or debit card when playing at an
online casino but there are
plenty of alternatives for those
who don't have a card or prefer
to use a different banking
method. If
you won't be buying your chips
via card then you can use the
following: Some
of the banking methods listed
above may not be familiar to you.
Many of them are e-wallets and
they work in a very similar ways
to PayPal. Talking
of PayPal, it's worth
highlighting this method as an
option at 32 Red Casino because
not many online casinos are
authorised to accept PayPal as a
deposit and withdrawal method.
The minimum PayPal deposit at 32
Red is just £10 and the same
applies to withdrawals. There are
no fees so whatever you withdraw
is what you'll be
paid. Part
of our review process means
reading through LOTS of tedious
terms and conditions because it's
often here where we find the
yucky stuff that players would
normally miss. It's boring as
hell but it frequently throws up
something important. One thing
that keeps cropping up time and
time again is a maximum daily or
weekly withdrawal limit and we've
been finding some really rubbish
limits out there -
Lucky
Emperor
Casino
for example limit you to a
pathetic £4000 a week in
withdrawals! Other casinos such
as Circus
Casino
do things right and have no
limits whatsoever. In the case of
32 Red, there IS a weekly
withdrawal limit but it's a very
palatable £120,000 a week so
we're more than happy with
that! If
you happen to hit a huge jackpot
on one of 32 Red's
Progressive
Jackpot
Games
then the weekly limit won't
apply. That's just as well,
considering that some the
progressive jackpots run into
several million
pounds. Customer
Support You
probably won't need to contact 32
Red Casino's customer support
staff because things operate
pretty smoothly. However, should
you have any questions or
comments you need answering then
you can reach 32 Red via a number
of different contact
methods. You
can reach 32 Red Casino by
sending them an e-mail, a letter
in the post or you can telephone
them via a freephone number. This
service is available at any time
of the day or night, every day of
the year, so feel free to ring
them on Christmas Day when you're
drunk. You can even the casino
via Skype (skype_32red), which
isn't a contact method we come
across often from an online
casino. Like
many online casinos these days,
32 Red also have a useful
messenger-style 'instant chat'
facility which will instant let
you chat online to a member of
their support team. 32
Red Casino have won awards for
their customer service and they
did quite well when we tested
them. E-mails could probably have
been replied to a little quicker
(one or two days to receive a
reply, in our tests) but the
replies we received were
friendly, informative and easy to
understand. Summary 32
Red are a competent and
professional online casino from a
solid company. We'd like to see
the bonus terms and conditions
made less restrictive and there
are a few tweaks needed to make
navigation a bit easier but other
than that, they've done a really
good job. Few
casinos have the reputation
enjoyed by 32 Red and it's
important that we stress this
point. We've never received a
single complaint about 32 Red
Casino and this is echoed
throughout the industry - they
really do have a superb
reputation and their players
remain loyal to them. They're
clearly doing something
right. In
many ways, 32 Red are a standard
but solid online casino but there
are a number of things that
they're doing better than the
competition. Accepting PayPal as
a banking method, being reachable
via Skype and some really fun
non-standard games all make 32
Red a serious contender for any
UK online casino
player. |
