Nugget Casino
Review Welcome
Bonus: Our
Rating: Introduction Lucky
Nugget are one of the
longest-operating of all online
casinos with a history of more
than ten years. Launched back in
August 1998, Lucky Nugget are
veterans of the UK
Online
Casino
industry. Lucky
Nugget Casino are licensed by the
Government of Gibraltar and
members of various industry
regulation organisations,
including the Interactive Gaming
Council. Getting
Started As
with most online casinos, Lucky
Nugget give you the choice of
either downloading their casino
software to your PC or playing
the no
download
required
flash version via your browser.
What's the difference between the
two versions? Well, not as much
as you might think. If we went
back a few years then the 'no
download' versions of online
casinos were definitely a poor
relative of the full download
software but the differences
between them are becoming less
obvious all the time. All
that said, here at Casino Beacon
we still prefer to download the
casino's software whenever we
sign up at an online casino. For
a start, you get access to far
more games and the overall
atmosphere just feels that bit
more exciting. The majority of
online casino players tend to
agree with us and downloading the
software is by far the most
popular way to play. The software
can always be deleted easily if
you decide you won't be playing
again. The
no download flash version is
brilliant if you can't be
bothered to download the casino
software or your computer is
running short on available
memory. It's also useful if you
want to play from someone else's
PC and you're not keen on
installing software on their
computer! For
Mac users, it's also highly
probable that the no download
flash version will work perfectly
on your computer, whereas the
download version is definitely
PC-only. We say 'highly probable'
because this is normally the case
but Lucky Nugget's help/support
pages don't give much away
here. Deposit
Bonus If
you make a real money deposit
then Lucky Nugget will increase
it by 150% with their own money.
This only applies to your first
deposit (of £20 or more) and
will be subject to a 50x
playthrough requirement. You can
claim up to £200 free with
this bonus. For
example: As
with all casino bonuses, not all
games count 100% towards the
wagering requirement. In fact,
only slot games, keno and scratch
card games are worth playing with
the bonus winnings as these games
count 100% towards the
playthrough requirement. It's all
laid out pretty clearly in Lucky
Nugget's terms and conditions and
we do recommend you familiarise
yourself with these
terms. Many
players consider playthrough
requirements to be a pain in the
arse, especially because you're
are restricted on which games
contribute towards this
requirement. We tend to go along
with that line of thinking and
we're seeing many players not
bother with deposit bonuses these
days. The
table below explains which games
count towards the playthrough
requirement. It's
nice to see that Lucky Nugget do
not automatically credit the 150%
deposit bonus when you make your
first purchase. Some online
casinos do credit these bonuses
without any warning but at Lucky
Nugget, you need to enter the 'My
Promotions' section of the casino
software and click 'Claim Now'
once youve made your
deposit. This is a MUCH better
way of doing things. Casino
Games Lucky
Nugget Casino have over 400 games
available in their download
version and more than 200 in
their no download flash version.
You'll find just about every game
you could want to play and quite
a few you may not have come
across before. When
you first download the casino
software, only a few core games
are included. This is intended to
speed up the initial download.
Any other games you want to play
need to be downloaded. It's all
pretty simple and you'll have to
be thicker than George Bush to
screw it up. If a game is already
downloaded it'll say 'click to
play'. If it's never been played
by you before then it'll say
'click to download'. Normally
at an online casino, downloading
additional games will take only a
couple of minutes but we did find
the downloads to be incredibly
sluggish at Lucky Nugget. We
found ourselves staring at the
screen for ten minutes or more,
waiting for games to
download. On
the plus side, you can play any
already-installed games whilst
you are waiting for new games to
be installed. Banking Lucky
Nugget Casino accept most
standard deposit and withdraw
methods. The majority of internet
casino players use a debit or
credit card but there are loads
of alternative e-wallets that
work similar to PayPal (which is
not an option, by the way). These
e-wallets include
Neteller,
Moneybookers,
Ukash,
Click2Pay
and many more. We
were very pleased to discover
that there is no maximum amount
you can withdraw each week. Some
online casinos have a limit in
their terms and conditions and
sometimes it's only a few
thousand pounds a week. No such
shenanigans at Lucky Nugget. In
fact, we read through several
pages of highly boring terms and
conditions on Lucky Nugget's
website and we found absolutely
nothing to concern us. Summary Lucky
Nugget is a very established
online casino and they've had
more than ten years to iron out
any problems so it's perhaps not
surprising that they've got most
things right. That said, not
everything is perfect here. Their
website is rather slow and never
quite feels fully loaded.
Clicking some of the menu options
seemed to send our computer into
a frenzy and it definitely feels
like they have a few technical
glitches going on in the
background. Their downloads are
also painfully slow. We
can't be too harsh because the
casino itself is good, the games
are state-of-the-art and the
welcome bonus is attractive if
you're looking for a decent
starting balance. Lucky Nugget
are definitely trustworthy and
we're happy to recommend
them. |
